HMD Global, the company that possesses the right to produce and sell Nokia-branded smartphones, has rolled out the newest software updates to three of the Nokia phones- Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7.1, and Nokia 7 Plus- according to a report by nokiamob.net. The report even stated that the update on Nokia 7.1 is 16.82 MB and for the Nokia 6.1 and 7 Plus it is 55 MB in size respectively. These updates on all the three handsets will show up with an April 2020 security update, says the report. As of now, all three Nokia- branded smartphones operate on the latest Android 10 operating system upgrade.
In the past week, HMD Global set out the latest Android version to Nokia 9 PureView, their flagship smartphone of 2019 in India. In India, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 2.2, and Nokia 2.2 are already updated to Android 10.
In March 2020, HMD Global amended their plans of setting out Android 10 updates on all its devices in 2020. Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer of HMD Global posted a tweet announcing the new plan and as of now, the company has been following the plan.
At the beginning of the second quarter, HMD Global is anticipated to roll out the update to seven of their handsets including Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 2.3 and Nokia 1 Plus.
The upgrade to Nokia 1, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 2.1 have been scheduled for the middle of the second quarter of the year.
