Microsoft Teams adds custom-made background effects between video call, along with other modern features

Concerning the latest custom backdrop effects on Microsoft Teams, the company points out that customers can personalize the background by uploading their personal pictures or by selecting a background image from one of the collections which are available online. The social network already enables customers to pick special backdrops within the video call, along with an option to blur the backdrop.


Microsoft is additionally providing event-specific backdrop collections for its customers. Beginning from June 16, users can download special LGBTQI+ background photos to commemorate the pride month. 


Microsoft is even including extra features to the free version of its video conferencing platform. With new upgrades, the social network states that the Teams free version users can operate and connect from home “effectively.”


The free version customers are now capable of lining up meetings and forwarding invitations ahead of time. This ability forms upon the current ability to “Meet Now.” Meeting schedulers have the choice of either copying the meeting link to instantly send to different members or by forwarding an invite by means of Outlook or Google calendar.
